FAITH SPRING RHEMA CHURCH

Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Amen. (Revelation 20:6).
This is outline of the fourteen fundamental believes of Faith Spring Rhema Church. We believe, teach and uphold this tenet of faith in the honor of our Lord Jesus Christ.
OUR TENET OF FAITH
Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 16:4-5

We should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting - (Ephesians 4:14)
1. Holy Bible. We believe in the Scriptures as an inspired word of God. The Scriptures both Old and New Testaments are inspired of God, and are the revelation of God to man. (John 11:49-52, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21).

2. The One True God. There is one God the Father Almighty, the creator of heaven and earth. He manifests Himself in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - (Deuteronomy. 6:4-5, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew. 28:19, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:1-3,14, Colossians 2:9-10).

3. Jesus Christ. We believe in the virgine birth of Christ, as the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Who died, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and will physically come back again to earth for His saints - (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6-7. Micah 5:2-5, Luke 1:26-37, John 14:1-3,6. Matthew 27:62-66, 28:1-10. Acts 1:9-11).

4. The Fall of Man. Man was created by God, and through voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred both spiritual and physical death - (Genesis 1:26-28, 2:7, Genesis 3:1-24, Romans 3:23).

5. The Salvation of Man. Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. Man must be born again through repentance towards God and faith in Christ's redemptive work of grace. (Luke 24:45-47, John 1:14. 3:3-7, Romans.3:24 -26; 5:12-21, Ephesians 2: 1-9, Titus 2:11-15; 3:4-8, Hebrews 9:11-28).

6. The Ordinances of the Church.
Baptism in Water. All who turn to Christ are to be baptized in water by immersion, as the only scriptural mode of baptism and is for believers in Christ only. It is an outward sign of an inward change - (Matthew. 28:19; Mark 16:15-16, Luke 3:21-22, Acts 8:12-13;10:47-48, Romans. 6:4).
Holy Communion. A memorial sacrament to remember the death; burial; and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We partake of the bread and fruit of the vine as symbols of His Body and His Blood - (Matthew.26:26-30, Luke 22:14-23, 1 Corinthians 11:23-31).

7. The Five Fold Ministry. We believe in the gift ministries, with the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit - (Ephesians 4:8-18, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

8. Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. This baptism is for all who ask. Tongues speaking are an initial sign of this baptism along with the power to be a witness and sustain a holy life - (Joel 2:28-29, Luke 24:45-49, John 16:7-15, Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:43-46; 11:13-16, Romans 8:15-17).

9. Divine Healing. Divine deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers - (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:14-17, Mark 16:15-18, Acts 10:38, James 5:14-16).

10. Sanctification. We believe in progressive sanctification. The Greek word "Hagiasmos" a term for sanctification means to "Set apart". The process by which the Holy Spirit sets apart the believer in purity. God is a Holy God. He wants us live to portray His image. God's will is for us to be sanctified - (John 17:15-19, Romans 15:14-16, Ephesians 5:25-27, 1 Thessalonians 5:19-24, Hebrews 13:11-16).

11. The Rapture Of The Saints. You cannot see the word 'rapture' written in the English Bible. This word "Rapture" emanated from a Latin verb "Rapere", meaning "to seize", hence "to transport" and is applied to the Bible doctrine of the gathering of the saints to Christ at His second advent - (1 Corinthians 15:51-57, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). The word "Rapture" refers to the Greek word "Harpazo" which is translated as "Caught up" in 1 Thessalonians 4:17.

12. The Judgment Seat of Christ. All believers will appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive rewards of their work while in the body on earth - (Romans 14:10-12, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, 2 Corinthians 5:10, 1 Peter 4:17).

13. The Millennial Reign of Christ. Jesus Christ will reign with His saints in this world for a thousand years. This will be a thousand years of total peace on earth - The Prince of Peace ruling from the throne of David in Jerusalem - ( Isaiah 9:6-7, Zechariah 14:1-9, 16-17, Revelation 20:1-10).

14. The White Throne Judgment. This will be God's final judgment. God the Father being a just and true God will judge the wicked at the great white throne judgment - (Revelation 20:11-15). Those who reject His free gift of salvation through Christ will perish eternally. Those who believe will inherit eternal life, joy and peace forever, amen - (Daniel 12:1-3, Matthew 25:31-46, Mark 9:42-50, John 3:18, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 3:10-13).
